What makes a meaningful stakeholder engagement?

The objective of this webinar is to discuss how the use and influence of evaluations can be enhanced via a meaningful stakeholder engagement. Members of the Global Environment Facility  (GEF) and partner organizations will share practical experience in involving stakeholders and beneficiaries while keeping evaluation independent.

The webinar will be moderated by Mr. Juha I Uitto, Director of the GEF Independent Evaluation Office (IEO).  The special guests will include Mr. Carlo Carugi, Senior Evaluation Officer at GEF IEO, Ms. Nancy Bennet, UNDP-GEF Results Management and Evaluation Adviser, and Mr. Anis Dani, independent development effectiveness expert, specializing in corporate and country evaluations at the World Bank and Asian Development Bank  and former Lead Evaluator at the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank.

-          Enter your name and email address

-          If prompted, download drivers for WebEx.

-          When WebEx opens, click “Call Using This Computer”, select option A, B, or C:

A.      Call me. WebEx will call you without any additional costs on your side. You will need to choose your country and enter your phone number.

C.      Call Using Computer. You will need you headsets/speakers and a microphone. Test you audio to make sure it works (Look at the menu at the top of WebEx screen, click “Audio”, and then “Test Computer Audio”).

This webinar is part of a series of discussions on the use of evaluations in the UN system organized by the United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG). The webinar series is based upon UNEG’s recently completed study on Evaluation Use in the UN System, which provided several suggestions to strengthen the use of evaluations by ensuring stakeholders are involved in the evaluation process.
