Evaluation of the Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Programme in Syria

https://www.unicef.org/evaluation/reports#/detail/18374

Overview

The formative evaluation will contribute to organizational learning through assessing UNICEF’s own interventions in IYCF to determine the extent to which results have been achieved till now. The evaluation will contribute to evidence-based programming and advocacy. Evaluating IYCF contributes to UNICEF knowledge generation on whether the investments are being used effectively and efficiently to improve results, taking the equity of service delivery into consideration. On the other hand, UNICEF would like to evaluate the IYCF programme to build on the available quantitative results of the SMART (Standardized Monitoring and Assessment of Relief and Transitions) survey conducted in 2019 and to fill the gap of evaluating the quality aspect of the IYCF programme. Moreover, the evaluation will inform the programme strategy in any adjustment needed in the coming Country Programme Document 2021-2023.
