Bio

Susanne Mattsson is an Evaluation Capacity Development Advisor at UNFPA. She is working on issues related to strategic evaluation capacity develop-ment, including elaborating an ECD strategy, advisory and methods support. She holds a Masterâ??s degree in Development Studies from Gothenburg University (Sweden), were she also lectured in research methods. She has over 17 years of experience working within the area of international development cooperation, both as a programme manager within democratic governance and human rights as well as an evaluation manager, advisor and specialist.

Together with her ICAO colleague, Judita Jankovic, she co-convenes the UNEG working group on professionalization of evaluation, in which UNFPA is actively engaged.

She is a seconded staff member at UNFPA since January 2016, originating from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. Most recently, she was working as a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluations unit. She brings to UNFPA her extensive experience in managing evaluations, developing methods support and providing hands-on advisory support for evaluation managers.
